Send an E-Mail to the School Board, Denouncing the CEI

The Classroom Effectiveness Index (CEI) is a flawed assessment tool that's now being used by administrators to take punitive action against Dallas teachers.

The CEI was developed by academics to guide professional development, but it's a flawed tool — even the academics who developed it concede that point. Now Dallas ISD administrators are using this flawed tool to justify reducing the length of our contracts and threatening non-renewals. It was developed by academics to guide professional development.

In fact some school officials have already informed some teachers that their new contracts will be for only one year (instead of the standard two years) and threatened them with the loss of their contract after that.

Tell the School Board to kill the CEI at their June 25 Board Meeting!
